Treety of Life

The Treety of Life is an agreement between humanity and trees, a relationship based on exchange of essential gases for life.

Under this agreement, humans agreed to inhale oxygen and in return exhale carbon dioxide. The Trees’ side of the agreement is to absorb carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen.

This mutual exchange supports the balance of atmospheric gases necessary for all life forms on Earth.

A single 40-year-old native tree can absorb 840 kilograms of CO2 in its lifetime.

Planting native trees is one of the most powerful ways to counteract carbon emissions. Native forests not only capture carbon dioxide but also support diverse wildlife and restore vital ecosystems.

Join us on our mission to become a better ancestor, for a greener Aotearoa for generations to come.
